U2 made “history” last night as the first band to perform at the Sphere, Las Vegas‘ new eye catching arena. The venue finally opened to the public after 5 years of construction. It has a 18,600 seat capacity and cost a whopping $2.3 billion to build.
U2: UV Achtung Baby Live, the 22-time Grammy-winning band’s Las Vegas residency runs from September 29 to December 16 (25 total dates). Tickets are sold out on Ticketmaster, but last-minute tickets are obviously available on various reseller websites at a steep price.
MSG plans on hosting four to six residencies each year at the Sphere.
