There are pride events annually, in 2024, there was a merch drop at two stores.
For 2026, they are coming out with styling brushes, an in-game cash item, that will allow you to paint your pet the color of all the flags. Here is the example of the Aishas
The biggest news is that the Grey Faerie Baelia, who previously had been harmed by a stronger Faerie has finally been healed and restored wings and flowers, and with that, Baelia’s chosen name is Iridesia and they are a non-binary Faerie.
Of course, Neopets has their haters, there are plenty of netizens who think Neo has a trans agenda, and many who think Neopets does not do enough.
