Dancing With the Stars viewers have been rooting for Britt Stewart to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in the years since she has become a pro.
Stewart was introduced to dance as a child and she followed the passion into adulthood. After attending Artistic Fusion Dance Academy and studying dance styles at the Denver School of the Arts, Stewart also majored in dance at Loyola Marymount University.
She showed off her moves in a variety of shows and movies including the High School Musical films, Fame, No Strings Attached and Teen Beach Movie. Stewart was also on American Idol, Bunheads, Gilmore Girls, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy and The Voice. Professionally, Stewart went on tour with Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and more.
After being recruited for Dancing With the Stars in 2016, Stewart scored a spot on the troupe. She remained part of the group until season 28. From there, Stewart became the first Black female pro in DWTS history. She has come close to winning the show on multiple occasions but fans have been left frustrated after Stewart was paired up multiple times with the oldest celebrity contestants.
Rumors subsequently spread that both Stewart and Emma Slater get paired with celebrities that aren’t expected to make it far so the pros can focus on preparing the DWTS tour. In response, the duo posted a TikTok in 2025 answering burning questions such as, “Do Britt & I choreograph and prep the DWTS tour?”
“No! (This is a rumor!),” they replied.

Johnny Weir (Season 28)
In her first season as a DWTS pro, Stewart was paired with Olympian Weir. They were eliminated in the semi-finals alongside Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten, which put them in sixth place.
Martin Kove (Season 30)
Stewart was voted off first after performing one dance with Kove. This put the pair in fifth place, which is Stewart’s lowest to date.
Daniel Durant (Season 31)
Stewart and Durant finished in fifth place — which marks the pro’s highest placement — after several fan-favorite performances. Off screen, the couple found love and got married in 2025 after several years of dating.
Adrian Peterson (Season 32)
Stewart was partnered with the NFL player in season 32 and they performed four times before finishing in 11th place.

Eric Roberts (Season 33)
During week 3, Stewart and Roberts were eliminated alongside Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater, which placed them both in 10th place.
Baron Davis (Season 34)
Stewart and Davis went home during the second week in a double elimination with Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson. This put both couples in 13th place during season 34 of the hit competition show.
Taylor Hanson (Season 35)
In a shocking elimination, Stewart and Hanson were eliminated during week 3 — shortly after receiving their best score so far. They finished in 13th place.
