Mariska Hargitay took to Instagram on Tuesday (September 22) to tease the return of a beloved former Law & Order: SVU star – Christopher Meloni – in the upcoming 28th season.
“Who dat?” she first captioned a selfie, pointing at the back of Christopher, who was facing the other way.
A couple of hours later, Mariska shared another photo, this time, a selfie of the former co-stars both smilling!

The upcoming 600th episode of Law & Order: SVU will air later this year as part of the NBC show’s 28th season.
With the series premiering on October 8th, the 600th episode would fall on the sixth episode of the season, and it would likely air on Thursday, November 12th, if there are no breaks in between.
If you missed it, another big star is set to guest star on the episode airing November 5th!
Earlier this year, Christopher‘s spinoff, Law & Order: Organized Crime, was canceled after five seasons.
He last appeared on SVU in the season 27 premiere episode, and before that, an episode during season 26.
If you didn’t know, Christopher is set to star in an upcoming new Hulu series from This Is Us and Paradise creator Dan Fogelman.
