There’s only one famous friend Rosie O’Donnell is giving “grace” to for being a supporter of Donald Trump.
For decades, the 64-year-old comedian has been in a public feud with Trump, 80, long before he became President (and threatened to revoke her citizenship).
While appearing on the Tuesday (August 11) episode of The Tangle podcast, Rosie revealed the country music star Wynonna Judd is the only famous Trump supporter that she’s still friends with.
“Now, I am friends with Wynonna Judd, who I love very much, and I’ve known her for many, many years,” Rosie said. “And she is a supporter of Trump. And somehow, we never bring it up.”
“I give her a grace in a way,” she continued. “She’s had so much in her life with her mom taking her own life and just the the complicated nature of her upbringing. and I really love her, and I care about her, and, for some reason, I’m able to put that aside when we interact.”
If you didn’t know, Wynonna, 62, advocated for criminal justice reform at the White House back in 2019 during Trump‘s first term. She later distanced herself from her sister Ashley Judd, who has been an outspoken critic of the President.
“Aside from Wy, I can’t think of anyone else in my life who supports him, and I don’t understand the people who do,” Rosie added. “His cruelty is so blatant. His criminal behavior is so obvious. His misogyny, his racism, his homophobia. He’s just a very dark spirit, and I don’t know why that’s not obvious to the world.”
Last month, Rosie called Trump the “worst thing that ever happened to our country” after her posted an AI video of her saying she suffers from the imaginary “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
