After Jurassic World Rebirth made nearly 900 million dollars at the box office last year, Universal put a sequel into development. It will now be going ahead without director Gareth Edwards, who left due to “creative differences.” According to THR, Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey are still likely to return, though their schedules are still being coordinated.
In the meantime, Warner Bros is releasing their own stab at a humans versus dinosaurs feature next week: The End of Oak Street. It remains to be seen if Oak Street might be a real challenger to Jurassic’s domination of the genre.
