Jon Bernthal says fear of pit bulls is “dog racism” and compares it to judging people by their race or sexual orientation

He says his dogs are the greatest, and Howard says the myth of the pit bull is bullshit. Jon says people have got to stop that shit. Howard says “Pit bulls don’t attack”. Jon says, “It is just racism. It is just dog racism. I think to be afraid of a breed of dog is completely ridiculous. IT IS LIKE BEING AFRAID OF SOMEBODY FOR THEIR RACE OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION. It is completely ridiculous. If you see somebody, look, if a pit bull bites you, it’s got to suck, you know what I mean, but they are no more likely to bite you than a Chihuahua or any other breed of dog”. Howard’s cohost says it probably has to do with who owns them and how they were trained.
Jon says “I think that a lot of knuckleheads are unfortunately attracted to that breed of dog and to me when I see some wanna be gangster getting pulled down Venice Beach by his pitbull, and I’m like You feed that fucker and he is pulling you down the…to me that;s not manly or strong at all – to me you have to train your dog.
