Nolan has considered making a horror film, and says “you have to have an amazing idea.”
He points to Obsession working so well because of the idea, not the technical side.
“It’s not about what technical itches I would have to scratch. It’s about story.”
But, he notes there will be at least another 3 years until his next film, as The Odyssey tested the limits of his stamina with such a gruelling shoot.
