    The 79th Tony Awards are today! Like the Super Bowl, this is an all-day affair.

    3:30 PM EDT – Red carpet coverage begins. There will be multiple livestreams including Playbill and Broadway World. Feel free to add red carpet pics in the comments!

    6:35 PM EDT – The Tony Awards: Act One, a pre-show where many of the creative category Tonys will be awarded. This is hosted by Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess. It will be livestreamed on Pluto TV’s live music channel.

    8:00 PM EDT – The official ceremony will air on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+ (this requires a premium level subscription via the live CBS feed, but non-premium subscribers will be able to stream the ceremony on demand after it airs). Pink is this year’s host.

    who will you see at the Tonys this year?

    There will be performances from:

    • the four shows nominated for best musical: The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)
    • the three shows nominated for best musical revival: Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime, and The Rocky Horror Show
    • the original Broadway cast of The Book of Mormon (including Tony winner Nikki M. James and Tony nominees Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, and Rory O’Malley) to celebrate the show’s 15th anniversary
    • Queen Latifah, Pink, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alex Newell, Adrienne Warren, Cedric the Entertainer, Julianne Hough, Whitney Leavitt, Dylan Mulvaney, and others to celebrate Chicago’s 30th anniversary
    • Leslie Odom, Jr. will sing “Without You” from Rent for the In Memorium segment (he made his Broadway debut in the ensemble of Rent, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year)
    • Rachel Zegler will be performing a tribute to A Chorus Line’s 50th anniversary
