Paramount has hired Max Landis to write a script for an upcoming G.I. Joe movie. Danny McBride has also been hired to write a separate script; sources say the studio plans to combine them but another says that they are separate projects.

In 2019 numerous women accused him of sexual and emotional abuse and he was dropped by his representatives at CAA and Writ.
