When Kristen Stewart, Keira Knightley, and more celebs need to reset before star-studded award show, there’s no need to book a vacation.
Instead, they’re slipping into Frankie Shay’s Maison La Perche, a full-body skincare studio tucked away in Studio City, California, that feels less like a spa and more like a curated Parisian flat.
“Award season can be incredibly high energy, so when someone walks through our doors, I want them to feel like they can exhale. The space was designed to feel warm and collected. It is refined without being flashy and elevated without being intimidating.”
Once you’re cozied in, the glow-up begins.
“Clients often struggle with dullness, congestion, and a loss of definition along the jawline and cheekbones,” she explains.
“We incorporate lymphatic sculpting massage, intelligent exfoliation, precise extractions when appropriate, and advanced modalities such as LED therapy to refine texture and amplify radiance.”
And it doesn’t stop at the face.
“Fluid retention, uneven texture, and overall tone are very common concerns on the body side, especially leading up to events or after travel,” the skincare expert shares. “To combat this, we combine manual contouring techniques with traditional lymphatic tools and LED sauna therapy to support detoxification, improve circulation, and reduce fluid retention.”
The result? “Lifted, clear, camera-ready skin that still looks completely natural and effortless, and a smoother, more sculpted silhouette.”
While the wellness oasis is a must visit before hitting a red carpet, Shay says the bigger mission is enhancing the skin’s vitality.
‘We create immediate refinement while supporting long-term skin health and wellbeing. Whether someone is preparing for an event, or simply investing in their health, the intention is refinement without excess.”
To keep everything lifted and luminous.
The facialist suggests scheduling biweekly or quarterly appointments, plus a well-edited daily at-home regimen.
“The magic really happens in the consistency of what you do every day,” the aesthetics pro reveals.
“I love working with Biologique Recherche, MBR, and Environ, and using vitamins C, E, and A to protect, repair, and renew the skin,” she adds.
As for what to avoid: Overdoing it.
“More is not always better. Simple and strategic routines often create the most beautiful results,” Shay reveals.
“When skin is overtreated or inflamed, the most powerful thing you can do is protect it. I’ll recommend something as simple as zinc-based diaper cream to calm the skin. It’s not glamorous, but it works.”
