Daniel Radcliffe talks about his new show, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, starring Tracy Morgan and Erika Alexander (Living Single). Some tidbits:
* Tracy invited everyone to his house before they began shooting the show, which is how Daniel learned that Tracy has ten large fish tanks at his house filled with exotic fish and sharks. He said one of them is built into a pool table and filled with piranhas, “like a James Bond villain.”
* When he was on set, he would hear Phil Collins blasting from a boombox which was followed by Tracy’s arrival.
* One of the funniest things he has ever seen was Karan Soni’s audition for Miracle Workers. He said Jon Bass (also of Miracle Workers) was so funny that Daniel ruined many takes because he was laughing.
* There was a weekly camera truck karaoke party. He said it was one of the best half hours he’s ever spent on a film set. While shooting this show, he had his first Halloween on an American set. He said most of the crew showed up in costume and he asked an AD if that was normal. She said on other sets, about 20% of the crew will wear costumes on Halloween. He said that overall, it was just a very happy crew.
* Things he has kept from previous jobs: two pairs of Harry Potter’s glasses (one from the first movie and one from the last movie), the boneless prosthetic arm from the second Harry Potter movie (when Harry breaks his arm playing quidditch), driver’s license/IDs from various characters he has played, as well as shoes and jeans from several characters.
