After the massive success of Heated Rivalry, Crave has announced a new series featuring Hudson Williams. He joins Yaga, a half-hour drama series which also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Clark Backo, and Noah Reid (whom ONTDers may know as Patrick from Schitt’s Creek). The series is based on Toronto playwright Kat Sandler’s play of the same name, “a contemporary reimagining of the myth of Baba Yaga set in a coastal town.” Sandler serves as showrunner.
Synopsis: “A private investigator (Reid) arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Williams). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Backo), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives and ancient magic.”
