Nick Jonas had fans talking after he was spotted stepping out of the Golden Globes mid-show during the 2026 ceremony.

The Jonas Brothers star attended the awards show alongside wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas over the weekend, but a viral video showing Nick stepping outside the Beverly Hilton Hotel mid-ceremony quickly sparked concern — and speculation — online. In the clip, Nick is seen sipping water and taking a moment away from the crowd while the show was still underway.

“Nick Jonas taking a water break at the #GoldenGlobes2026!” Parade Magazine captioned the exclusive video, which made the rounds across social media.

Soon after, a fan reposted the clip on X, writing, “social anxiety got the best of him.” Nick himself stepped in to clear the air — and confirmed the fan was right.

“Yeah…it hit me like a gut punch,” he replied candidly.

Fans were quick to rally around the singer, praising his honesty and offering support. “It’s okay! It gets the best of us all sometimes 💁🏻‍♀️,” one person wrote. Another added, “Very real! You’re doing great! ❤️.” A third fan expressed concern, noting, “I hope you are ok. I saw you with your towel wiping down your forehead. Stay healthy, Nick.”

Despite the momentary exit, Nick appeared in good spirits on the red carpet, where he spoke with Variety about his upcoming music. The singer is gearing up for the release of his fourth solo studio album, Sunday Best, which drops February 6, 2026.

“Very excited,” Nick said at the Globes. “The first single, Gut Punch, has been out for about two weeks now. Response has been incredible, and the album is called ‘Sunday Best.’ It comes out February 6. It’s my fourth solo studio album.”

Nick first announced the album back in November 2025, telling fans, “My new album, ‘Sunday Best,’ is out February 6, 2026. Pre-order tonight at midnight ET.” He followed up in December by revealing the lead single, writing, “‘Gut Punch.’ Out New Year’s Day,” and teasing upcoming interviews with Priyanka.

The album arrives on the heels of a massive year for the Jonas Brothers, who wrapped their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour in December after 74 shows. Reflecting on the milestone at the final concert, Nick told PEOPLE, “Tonight we wrap up the U.S. leg of the 20th anniversary tour…the journey has just begun.”
