Kim Kardashian is looking back at attending the 2022 Met Gala.
For the big fashion event, the 45-year-old reality star created quite huge conversation when she decided to wearing Marilyn Monroe‘s iconic beaded dress.
Marilyn famously wore the dress when she sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
During the new episode of The Kardashians, which was released on Thursday (November 27), Kim revealed the one regret she has about wearing the iconic dress.
Keep reading to find out more…In a post-credits confessional, Kim admitted that she wishes that didn’t bleach her hair blonde and instead stuck to her natural, dark brunette hair. According to Kim, the point of wearing Marilyn‘s dress was to pay tribute to the late Hollywood icon, not compete with her.
“I don’t know why, but everyone told me, ‘Don’t do Marilyn hair, you’re going to look like a wax figure of Marilyn,’” Kim shared. “We just thought we wanted to be blonde. I should have been like dark, Jackie O vibes hair.”
Ultimately, Kim and her longtime hairstylist and close friend Chris Appleton opted for “Marilyn blonde,” but all these years later, Kim is still agonizing over that decision.
“I’ve actually photoshopped it 500 different ways after the fact — like, last year — to see,” Kim said. “Do you want to see? Because I have tortured Chris Appleton on this decision.”
She then pulled out her phone and showed producers and the cameraman her photoshopped photos, and asked, “Should it have been a Marilyn vibe hair in blonde … should it have been more of a Jackie O dark? Either one of these would have worked.”
