Cardi B is all about making something sentimental.
Cardi, 33, gave birth to her fourth baby, a boy, with Stefon Diggs, on November 4 and turned her umbilical cord into something special. On Thursday, November 20, Juliane Marie Corona, who encapsulates placentas at Mommy Made Encapsulation, took to Instagram to share how she turned Cardi’s umbilical cord into a heart-shaped pendant.
She first cleaned off the placenta and then turned the cord into a heart before dipping it in gold.
According to Mommy Made’s website, placenta encapsulation service costs $500, with an extra $50 for the keepsake.
“Where her journey started… turned into a keepsake she’ll treasure forever. 🤍,” Corona wrote of creating Cardi’s heart pendant. “The umbilical cord is the very first connection between a mother and her baby — the lifeline that nourished, protected and carried them through every moment of pregnancy.”
She added, “Creating this keepsake is always such an honor, but doing it for Cardi and her sweet baby again means the world to us. 🤍✨. Turning something so meaningful into a piece that can be held, remembered and cherished forever is one of the most special parts of what we do.”
Fans shared their mixed reactions in the comments section.
“Tf is going on here,” one person commented. Another added, “Absolutely not. I’m all for memories, but keeping my babies fried, dyed and dried umbilical cord is not one of them.”
While not everyone was here for the service, others loved the idea of making a keepsake from the umbilical cord.

This isn’t the first time Cardi has saved a keepsake from the birth of her children. In October 2024, she had her placenta encapsulated after the birth of her daughter Blossom, whom she welcomed one month prior with ex Offset. (She also shares daughter Kulture, 7, and son Wave, 4, with the “Migos” rapper, 33.)
Amid Cardi’s pregnancy, news broke that Diggs fathered a daughter named Charliee with model Aileen Lopera.
“We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father,” Lopera’s lawyer Tamar Arminak told Us Weekly in a statement on November 6. “We are hopeful that he will meaningfully contribute to the child’s life and coparent with our client, who has had to do everything on her own thus far.”
Diggs previously responded to Lopera’s paternity lawsuit and requested joint legal and physical custody if his paternity was proven.

Cardi previously opened up about welcoming another baby earlier this month.
“Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve,” she wrote via Instagram. “This next chapter is Me vs. Me!”
