The fall season is underway, and Hulu subscribers are enjoying the benefits of streaming new and returning shows from both Fox and ABC.
ABC’s High Potential has already been a beneficiary of that streaming push, and now Fox’s Murder in a Small Town is racing to the top as well.
The latter is Watch With Us‘ top pick among the popular Hulu movies and TV shows to binge-watch this weekend.
Our remaining choices are a Hulu original horror flick and the granddaddy of all Marvel movies.
‘Murder in a Small Town’ (2025)
Murder in a Small Town is a Canadian detective drama that airs on Fox. It’s also very popular, judging by its high placement on Hulu’s streaming list this week. Rossif Sutherland leads the series as Karl Alberg, the new police chief in Gibsons, who moved there to escape the big city. Karl’s already found love with a local woman, Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk), but there are always new murders to solve.
Season 2 introduces some tension to the relationship, as Cassandra’s new position on the city council allows Mayor Christine Holman (Marcia Gay Harden) to play them against each other. One of Karl’s former colleagues, Laila Jackson (Bethany Brown), has also joined the Gibsons police force, and he’ll need all the help he can get as his jurisdiction expands.

‘Stay’ (2025)
Kiara (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and Miles (Mo McRae) are a couple on the rocks in Stay, and the end of their marriage is imminent. Or it would be, if something supernatural hadn’t intervened and sealed them in their own house. To the outside world, their former home appears empty, even as Miles and Kira pound on the doors and windows while pleading for help.

‘Blade’ (1998)
Although Blade has been overshadowed by everything that came after it, this was the first Marvel superhero movie that showed a pulse at the box office. It arguably paved the way for X-Men and Spider-Man a few years after it. Wesley Snipes stars in the film as Blade, a half-human, half-vampire hybrid who combines the strength of both species.
Dr. Karen Jenson (N’Bushe Wright) is thrust into Blade’s world when she’s bitten by a vampire. She may also be the only one who can cure herself and Blade from their vampire infections. However, Blade’s priority is hunting down and staking Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), a powerful vampire who has a deadly plan to bring the human race under his thumb.
