Margot Robbie is officially stepping back into the spotlight — this time as a brand-new mom.

The Oscar-nominated actress made a glamorous return to the red carpet nearly a year after she and husband Tom Ackerley welcomed their first child, a baby boy whose name has yet to be shared.

Margot joined costar Colin Farrell on Aug. 20 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to celebrate their upcoming romantic fantasy, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. The pair posed together for photos, with Margot stealing the spotlight in a fitted black mini-dress, strappy heels and her signature blonde waves, while Colin kept things low-key in blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a black cardigan.

The appearance marked a milestone moment for Margot — not only was it her first red carpet since becoming a mom, but A Big Bold Beautiful Journey also marks her big-screen comeback after the massive success of Barbie in 2023. Fans have been eagerly awaiting her return to acting, and it seems she’s diving right back into work. In fact, she was already spotted in March filming Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights.

Still, motherhood is clearly front and center for the Wolf of Wall Street star. Even during a trip back home to Australia in April, Margot was photographed wearing a gold “mama” necklace while taking a swim — a subtle but touching tribute to her baby boy.

And while she and Tom keep their family life private, the couple hasn’t shied away from talking about their love story over the years. “We were friends for so long,” Margot told Vogue back in 2016. “I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.’ But it happened and I was like, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.’”

The couple’s joy only grew when their son was born. “Margot’s first days as a mom were more emotional than she ever imagined,” a source told Life & Style in November 2024. “She and Tom couldn’t stop holding their little boy, kissing his tiny face, fingers and toes. He’s just perfect.”

Though they balance life as both spouses and producing partners at their company LuckyChap, Tom has said it all blends together seamlessly. “[We spend] 24 hours a day [together],” he told The Sunday Times in June. “It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”

And when it comes to disagreements? They keep it lighthearted. Tom revealed their only real “argument” is over whether Tim Tams or Penguins are the superior snack — though he admits he now feels like “an honorary Aussie,” while Margot has become “an honorary Brit.”
