Who Is Performing at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards?
MTV has revealed that Sabrina Carpenter, Ricky Martin, Sombr, Alex Warren and J Balvin featuring DJ Snake are all set to perform during the 2025 VMAs.
Carpenter is nominated for eight awards this year, including the top prize of Video of the Year for “Manchild” from her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend. Sombr will make his award show debut after being nominated for Best New Artist and Best Alternative. J Balvin returns to the VMAs stage for the first time since 2022, performing his hit “Zun Zun” with Latin stars Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez, before teaming up with DJ Snake—making his VMA debut—for the live premiere of their new collaboration, “Noventa.” Alex Warren, MTV Push’s breakout singer-songwriter, will make his first VMAs appearance and is nominated for Best New Artist, Best Pop and Song of the Year.

Which Singers Are Nominated at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards?
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards nominees are led by Lady Gaga with 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars with 11, and Kendrick Lamar with 10. Other notable nominees include ROSÉ and Sabrina Carpenter with eight nominations each, and Ariana Grande and The Weeknd with seven each.
Additionally, Busta J will receive the MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award, presented by LL COOL J. Ricky Martin will be honored with the inaugural Latin Icon Award.
MTV has yet to announce this year’s recipient of the Video Vanguard Award.
When Are the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards?
The 2025 VMAs will air live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. This will mark the first time the show has been broadcast by CBS. It will also simulcast on MTV and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
