“I had surgery a couple of days ago,” David told DAZN Football. “I broke my arm, if you remember, 23 years ago playing for England in South Africa. I had a screw put in. The screw needed to be taken out, and a couple of days ago I had it, well, kind of taken out.”
“I’ve also got a splinter that I had in there for about three years, so I had that done at the same time,” he added, noting, “It’s not as bad as it looks.”
Other stars in attendance at the Day 1 matches of Wimbledon included Jason Isaacs, Simu Liu and fiancée Allison Hsu, Princess Beatrice and mom Sarah Ferguson, along with Eddie Redmayne and wife Hannah.
Last month, Eddie and this tennis legend helped open up about new luxurious tennis resort in Turkey!
