The second weekend at the box office for A Minecraft Movie proved incredibly profitable, bringing in $80 million domestically, down only 50% from its opening weekend haul of $162.7 million. This weekend’s total is what many pundits were predicting for the film’s initial weekend, and after 10 days in theaters, this film is the highest grossing film of 2025.

The King of Kings, a faith-based film from Angel Studios, came in second with $19 million. In other faith-based media news, part three of the television show The Chosen: Last Supper brought in $6.15 million for sixth place at the box office, performing similarly to the previously released parts one and two. All of this is consistent with the upcoming Easter holiday.

In third place was The Amateur, the Rami Malek starring thriller from 20th Century Studios and Disney, with a $15 million take domestically.

Warfare made $8.3 million for fourth place, and had the best critical reception of the weekend’s new films. Meanwhile, Drop came in fifth place with $7.7 million, which is a reasonable result for a film that only cost $11 million to produce.

The much derided Snow White remake dropped to eighth place in its fourth weekend, bringing in only $2.8 million. It has wildly underperformed every other live action Disney remake, including Dumbo, with a total of $81.9 million domestically and $181 worldwide.
