Khloé Kardashian slammed the “invasive” sexual questions she faced at a young age and emphasized the firm boundaries she has established since.
“I remember when we started being on TV when I was 21 or 22,” Khloé, 40, explained during the Thursday, March 27, episode of her “Khloe in Wonder Land” podcast. “I remember the questions people would ask, and it was a different time then too, they would ask such intrusive questions.”
At the time, the Good American founder answered the prying questions, chalking up her responses to her inexperience with the media. However, she couldn’t help but question why people felt so at ease invading her privacy.
“Now, when I see old clips of myself, I’m like, ‘The audacity that even that adult thinks I should answer that,’” Khloé explained. “It could be a sexual thing. It doesn’t even mean I’m doing that thing. I just don’t think that’s for you to even have out there — if I am or if I’m not.”
Khloé, who shares kids True, 6, and Tatum, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson, admitted she learned over the years to “set boundaries” for herself. “The older you get or the more wisdom you get,” she noted.
While the Kardashians star has firm limits, that doesn’t stop her from revealing certain intimate details about herself. During the March 20 episode of The Kardashians, Khloé revealed she hadn’t had sex in years and didn’t mind keeping it that way.
The topic came up when celebrity hairstylist and friend Chris Appleton suggested to Kim Kardashian and their friend group that they help “get Khloé laid.”
“I just haven’t been intimate in quite a long time,” the mom of two explained in a confessional. “We are going back to square one — born again.” Khloé was comfortable with her celibacy and didn’t understand the fascination with her sex life.
“You are obsessed with knowing that I haven’t had sex,” she told the hairstylist, 41. “He loves that I haven’t had sex in so many years. I can get someone to have sex with me, I just don’t want to have sex right now.”
Khloé was last romantically linked to Tristan, 34, whom she dated on and off from 2016 to 2021. The relationship was marked with infidelity, as the Cleveland Cavaliers player was repeatedly caught cheating. His final cheating scandal was in 2021 when it was revealed that he impregnated Maralee Nichols while he was still dating the Hulu personality.
Khloé has since taken a step back from dating, despite the encouragement of her famous family. “Khloé keeps insisting she’s happy with the way her life is, that when the time is right, she’ll meet someone naturally,” a source exclusively told Life & Style on January 2. “But a lot of people in Khloé’s life think she’s just got such bad PTSD from how terribly Tristan treated her that she’s shutting herself off from finding anyone new out of fear she’ll get hurt again.”
The insider said that Kim, 44, has urged her younger sister back into the dating scene as she “doesn’t want Khloé to settle for being alone.” The source added that “Khloé has so much to offer” and “all Kim wants is for her to believe that, too.”
