-30 years ago as of this month the world was introduced to Xena, Warrior Princess in what was a 3-part arc on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
-The role of Xena was originally supposed to be played by Vanessa Angel of Weird Science fame but the actress pulled out which lead to the iconic Lucy (F)Lawless getting cast in the role. She had already played an Amazon in one of the Hercules tv movies.
-Xena would start out as a villain before beginning her redemption on Hercules and following it through to her own series that would run for 6 seasons.
-Xena/Hercules would have regular crossovers between various characters and finish each others storylines
