Alan Cumming returns to the Scottish Highlands and turns on the camp for season 3 of The Traitors (US). The first three episodes are available to stream on Peacock with new episodes on Thursdays
[Episode 1- Traitors are chosen, and a twist]
The 21 players assemble and they have the opportunity to invite some dude named Boston Rob to play and kick someone out. No one takes Alan up on his offer. The three Traitors are chosen: Bob the drag queen (RuPaul’s Drag
Race), Carolyn (Survivor), Danielle (Big Brother). They do a tricky challenge which narrows the number of people who can be murdered to only 8. The traitors meet in the turret and cackle.
At the end Alan reveals that Boston Rob will enter the game after all and he will be the fourth Traitor. Two other people will join the game as well.
[Episode 2- First murder, shields, first banishment]
At breakfast we learn Dorinda (Real Housewives of New York) has been murdered by the Traitors. For the challenge the players learn that Boston Rob is back along with Derrick (Big Brother) and Wes (The Challenge), and
they get to award shields. The players earn more money for the pot. After a robust roundtable, the group votes to banish Wells (Bachelor in Paradise, Mr. Sarah Hyland). The shields are given by the cage boys to other men. Rob joins the other three Traitors in the turret.
[Episode 3- Second murder, bad descriptions, second
banishment]
At breakfast we learn that Ayan (Real Housewives of Dubai) has been murdered. The Traitors’ strategy is hunting Housewives. The challenge is to have pairs lead each other through a four door maze and everyone is
terrible at describing the doors. After a spirited roundtable, Tony (Survivor) is banished. Instead of a conventional murder, Alan tells the Traitors they have to conspire in plain sight and come up with a shortlist
of three potential murder victis who will then theatrically be placed in literal coffins and one will die. Lots of dramatic editing!
