    Dominic Rains will not be back as a series regular for the upcoming 10th season of Chicago Med.

    The 42-year-old Iranian-American actor joined the cast of the NBC medical drama series back in season five and he appeared on the show as Dr. Crockett Marcel for five seasons.

    The season nine finale paved the way for Marcel’s exit from the show and now it has been confirmed that Dominic won’t be back as a full-time star.

    Deadline revealed that Dominic will not be a series regular in season 10, but there’s a chance he could return as a guest star. It’s still unclear if he will make appearances or not in future episodes.

    At the end of season nine, Crockett was devastated by the death of a young patient, whose liver transplant surgery was canceled due to an infection. When the boy died, his father took his own life. Crockett’s supervisor told him to take all the time he needs to recover from the trauma.
