Harrison Butker\u2019s<\/strong> commencement speech at Benedictine College ruffled more than a few feathers, including those of Kylie Kelce<\/strong><\/a>. Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a>, Kylie\u2019s husband, revealed how his wife responded to Harrison\u2019s controversial comments.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, my wife \u2014 she was, I think, a little bit frustrated by some of the comments,\u201d Jason, 36, said during the Friday, May 24, \u201cNew Heights<\/a>\u201d podcast episode.<\/p>\n The former Philadelphia Eagles player then joked, \u201cI said, \u2018Listen, you\u2019re gonna need to go back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich. [There\u2019s] a game right now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Jason also expressed his own issues with Harrison\u2019s speech.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of the things he said in his commencement speech are not things that I align myself with, but he was giving a commencement speech at a Catholic university and \u2014 shocker \u2014 it ended up being a very religious and Catholic speech. To me, I can listen to someone talk and take great value in it,\u201d the dad of three said.<\/p>\n Jason\u2019s cohost and brother, Travis Kelce<\/strong>, also addressed his stance<\/a> on the situation during the episode.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s treated friends and family that I\u2019ve introduced to him with nothing but respect and kindness and that\u2019s how he treats everyone. When it comes down to his views and what he said at the commencement speech, you know, those are his [views]. I can\u2019t say I agree with the majority of it \u2014 or just about any of it \u2014 outside of just him loving his family or his kids. I don\u2019t think I should judge him by his views, especially his religious views of how he goes about life,\u201d the Kansas City Chiefs tight end explained.<\/p>\n In the speech the NFL kicker gave on May 11, Harrison, 28, took aim at working women, the LGBTQIA+ community, abortion and more. Harrison singled out \u201cthe women\u201d in the audience of graduates and said that they had \u201cthe most diabolical lies\u201d told to them. He also added that while \u201csome\u201d may end up leading \u201csuccessful careers,\u201d he \u201cventured to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.\u201d<\/p>\n The Decatur, Georgia, native addressed the men as well, and urged them to \u201cbe unapologetic in your masculinity\u201d and \u201cfight against the cultural emasculation of men.\u201d<\/p>\n Harrison also quoted a lyric from Travis\u2019 girlfriend Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> song \u201cBejeweled,\u201d and told the crowd, \u201cThis undue familiarity will prove to be problematic every time, because as my teammate\u2019s girlfriend says, \u2018Familiarity breeds contempt.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
