Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a> confirmed that Rob McElhenney<\/strong><\/a> has a cameo in the third Deadpool<\/em> movie, Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em> \u2014 but that\u2019s all the information he can share for now.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of my busy schedule, I had to invite my cochair, Rob McElhenney, to the set of Deadpool<\/em> in London to discuss all things that are Wrexham,\u201d Reynolds, 47, said during the new episode of Welcome to Wrexham<\/em><\/a>, which premiered on Thursday, May 23. \u201cAnd, yes, I did have to promise him a role in the upcoming Deadpool<\/em> film.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cNow, I can\u2019t necessarily tell you which character Rob plays in Deadpool<\/em> for fear of being shot down by the Marvel<\/a> drone that follows me and my kids around.\u201d (Reynolds shares four children with wife Blake Lively<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

Most of the scene was blurred out \u2014 save for Reynolds and McElhenney\u2019s heads \u2014 because of \u201cconfidentiality reasons.\u201d Text on the screen read, \u201cDeadpool Censored Material,\u201d hiding most of the set and costumes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDeadpool and Wolverine\u00a0will reunite Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman for the first time since 2009\u2019s Wolverine: Origins. Reynolds revealed in September 2022 that his real-life pal would join the movie via a comedic announcement video. \u201cHey Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?\u201d Reynolds asked Jackman in the clip, to which he replied, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOh, a spray tan trailer,\u201d McElhenney, 47, quipped. \u201cDon\u2019t have to blur that, no spoiler there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eventually, Reynolds and McElhenney were sitting in a trailer together to discuss Wrexham. The It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em><\/a> star couldn\u2019t \u201ctease\u201d his outfit, so he was forced to wear an oversized jacket zipped up to his neck.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s super comfortable making superhero movies,\u201d McElhenney joked. Reynolds added, \u201cThanks for doing a cameo. \u2026 For the record, Rob has never asked me to be on It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em> or Mythic Quest<\/em> or his podcast or any of his other multimedia ventures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the episode, Wrexham did play a few games \u2014 beating Colchester 2 to 1 and beating Newport County 2 to 0 \u2014 and their goalie, Arthur Okonkwo<\/strong>, returned after his jaw injury showcased in the previous episode.<\/p>\n
