The \u201cAll by Myself\u201d singer revealed her heartbreaking diagnosis in December 2022. I need my instrument,\u201d Celine says at the start of the trailer after being seen in the recording studio blasting out a gorgeous high note in healthier times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen your voice brings you joy, you are the best of yourself,\u201d she continues over archival footage from concerts over the years as well as videos at home with her children. She repeats, \u201cI need my instrument,\u201d about how desperately she wants to sing again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder. I wasn\u2019t ready to say anything before, but I\u2019m ready now,\u201d Celine says while looking directly into the camera.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<div class=\"ratio-based-placeholder\" style=\"padding-bottom:101%;\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"photo-credit\"><span class=\"credit\">YouTube<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Quebec, Canada, native is seen showing off a warehouse full of costumes and shoes, saying, \u201cI think we did create our own magic,\u201d about her 16 years of residency shows in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTo Love You More\u201d songstress is shown makeup free in front of a table filled with medication bottles in between concert shots. \u201cIt\u2019s not hard to do a show. It\u2019s hard to cancel a show,\u201d Celine says longingly.<\/p>\n<p>In between video of physical therapy and light exercise, the Grammy winner explains, \u201cI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/celine-dion-finally-has-stiff-person-syndrome-under-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">work hard every day<\/a>, but I have to admit, it\u2019s been a struggle.\u201d Celine then says of performing, \u201cI miss it so much, the people,\u201d adding about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/celine-dion-wants-to-perform-again-despite-stiff-person-diagnosis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her dream of returning to the stage<\/a>, \u201cIf I can\u2019t run, I\u2019ll walk, if I can\u2019t walk, I\u2019ll crawl, and I won\u2019t stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>What Has Celine Dion Said About Stiff Person Syndrome?<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t beat the disease, as it\u2019s still within me and always will be. I hope that we\u2019ll find a miracle, a way to cure it with scientific research, but for now I have to learn to live with it. So that\u2019s me, now with Stiff Person Syndrome,\u201d Celine told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.fr\/article\/celine-dion-may-cover-vogue-france-interview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Vogue<\/em><\/a> France in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFive days a week I undergo athletic, physical and vocal therapy. I work on my toes, my knees, my calves, my fingers, my singing, my voice \u2026 I have to learn to live with it now and stop questioning myself. At the beginning I would ask myself: why me? How did this happen? What have I done? Is this my fault?\u201d Celine questioned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEither I train like an athlete and work super hard, or I switch off and it\u2019s over, I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of my mirror and sing to myself,\u201d she told the publication, adding, \u201cI\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/celine-dion-makes-first-appearance-in-3-years-amid-health-battle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chosen to work with all my body and soul<\/a>, from head to toe, with a medical team.
