Whether it\u2019s assuming the downward dog position, hitting the pavement or lifting weights, stars enjoy shedding pounds with their famous acquaintances by their side. Reese Witherspoon, for example, goes on hikes with her [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">For the strength portion of the workout, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-body\/news\/shakiras-trainer-shares-super-bowl-2020-workout-diet-secrets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaiser advises Shakira<\/a> to do a \u201ccombination of heavier weights, like eight or 10 [pounds], and a burnout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cLighter weight, higher rep,\u201d she says. \u201cMore like my sculpt workouts that I do online. Then we have fun afterward, like, to dance! The dance is meant to elevate and boost the efficacy of the strength training we\u2019ve just finished because at that point your muscles should be fatigued.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Shakira balances her frequent workouts \u2014 she trains with Kaiser four days a week \u2014 with her music career, other business endeavors and raising her sons. (The singer shares Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, with ex <strong>Gerard Piqu\u00e9<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cShe\u2019s so busy with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/lucien-laviscount-praises-shakira-as-beautiful-hard-working\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">so many different parts of her day<\/a> [as a] mom, philanthropist, business owner, recording artist [and] producer,\u201d Kaiser says. \u201cThere\u2019s so much going on that by the time we get to dancing, It\u2019s really pushing her endurance and stamina because of everything she\u2019s already accomplished that day. (It\u2019s almost exactly what it [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to Kaiser, Shakira fits in training time \u201cwherever she can\u201d to accommodate her schedule.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Getting abs like Shakira isn\u2019t just due to her workouts, but also her diet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201c[She gets her abs from] mostly eating nutrients [and] eating around,\u201d Kaiser tells <i>Us. <\/i>\u201cYou want to make sure you have a great combination of protein and carbs after you workout. Feed your muscle. The more muscle you have, lean muscle, you have in your body, the faster metabolism. For every pound of muscle that you gain, you\u2019ve earned an additional 50 calories every day without doing anything. So if you gain 10 pounds of muscle, you\u2019re burning an additional 550 calories a day without working out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The fitness guru continued, \u201cSo, in order to do that you have to eat, your muscle has to have to have something to work with. She\u2019s much better now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kaiser, who also attributed Shakira\u2019s killer bod to \u201cample amounts of sleep,\u201d further noted that she is no longer militant about the musician\u2019s indulgences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe\u2019re not specific about it anymore because she really understands it doesn\u2019t make her feel good,\u201d Kaiser says. \u201cYou start to tune into your body more as you age.
