\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Lil Nas X<\/strong><\/a> opened up about his experience in the country music sphere, especially in comparison to Beyonce<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s experience with Cowboy Carter<\/em>.<\/p>\n Back in 2019, Lil Nas X<\/strong>\u2018s country trap single \u201cOld Town Road\u201d was removed from Billboard\u2019s Hot Country Song Chart<\/a> after the outlet decided that it did not have enough country music elements to qualify for the chart. The decision sparked accusations of racism. <\/p>\n Five years later, Beyonce<\/strong> made history by becoming the first Black woman to top the chart<\/a> with her single \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em.\u201d Her single was replaced at No. 1 by Shaboozey<\/strong><\/a>, another Black artist, with \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy).\u201d <\/p>\n In a new interview, The \u201cMontero (Call Me by Your Name)\u201d rapper weighed in on how his experience was different. He also revealed if he would consider dabbling in country music again in the future and talked about the pressure of creating a hit. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n While he told BBC<\/a> that he is \u201chappy\u201d for Beyonce<\/strong> and Shaboozey<\/strong>, he still was sad about his own experience. <\/p>\n \u201cBut I wish this would have happened for me. I wasn\u2019t even able to experience this,\u201d he admitted to the outlet.<\/p>\n Despite being shunned by the country chart, Lil Nas X<\/strong> has of course found success with multiple songs in the time since \u201cOld Town Road.\u201d Despite that, he added that he still feels pressure to generate more viral success. <\/p>\n \u201cOf course I know my own worth, but these are the things that are going to feed your family and the people around you who have helped build what you\u2019re creating,\u201d he explained, adding, \u201cSo it\u2019s important. I can\u2019t just say [screw] hits, because I need them.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that creating a hit \u201cmakes you feel like a better person.\u201d However, the hitmaker made it clear that he wasn\u2019t going to stop creating for his fans, too. <\/p>\n Now that Beyonce<\/strong> and other Black artists are having luck with country music will Lil Nas X<\/strong> return to the genre?
