The \u2018Maleficent\u2019 actress, 48, and \u2018Fight Club\u2019 star, 60, have spent years locked in a battle over ownership of their $500 million winery, Ch\u00e2teau Miraval and a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has now made the NDA ruling in the latest development in the battle over the French vineyard.<\/p>\n
It’s been ruled Angelina must produce in the next month \u201call non-privileged documents in her possession, custody, or control that are responsive to\u201d a request by Brad\u2019s side to show any of the papers she has signed.<\/p>\n
A source from Brad\u2019s team told Page Six the latest ruling was a \u201ccrushing blow\u201d after Angelina\u2019s side had previously argued in court papers that turning over her previous NDAs as prat of the case would be \u201cexpensive,\u201d \u201cwasteful,\u201d \u201cunreasonable\u201d and \u201cabusive\u201d.<\/p>\n
Angelina\u2019s lawyers also previously argued in court documents turning over other NDAs she has signed would be an invasion of privacy for other parties. <\/p>\n
\nIt\u2019s understood the documents would include NDAs with Hollywood employers, brands and employees,.<\/p>\n
\nHer side said in legal papers they may contain \u201ccontracts that include Jolie\u2019s compensation or compensation she paid to third parties\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nThe new judge\u2019s order also said Angelina\u2019s side should provide a list of any documents she deems as privileged in the case, so Brad\u2019s team can \u201cevaluate the merits of Jolie\u2019s assertions of privilege\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nLawyers for Brad, who divorced Angelina in 2019, filed papers in April asking his ex to reveal how many NDAs she has asked her employees to sign.<\/p>\n
\nThe move came after the actress accused him of trying to use what she branded a way to \u201ccontrol\u201d her.<\/p>\n
\nAngelina has sold her shares in the winery to a Stoli Group subsidiary \u2013 a deal Brad said was unfair. <\/p>\n
\nA source added to Page Six: \u201cThe (new) ruling is the latest in a series of pre-trial victories for Pitt.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAngelina\u2019s attorney Paul Murphy insisted it was a win for his side, saying: \u201cCommon NDAs are simply not comparable to Mr Pitt\u2019s last-second demand to try and cover up his personal misconduct. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe are more than happy to turn them over and we are gratified that the Court acknowledged that the only potential relevance is to the unconscionability of Mr Pitt\u2019s conduct, a now confirmed key issue in this case.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe welcome that transparency in all parties\u2019 discovery responses, including Mr Pitt\u2019s. Angelina looks forward to the eventual end of this litigation with its false narratives that continue to hurt the family and interfere with their ability to heal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
