I felt I was only useful in that situation. I didn\u2019t have the self-esteem to do anything else.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Shaznay enjoyed her time in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/all-saints\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,all-saints\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">All Saints<\/a>, but it wasn&#8217;t always easy.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe pop star said: &#8220;It&#8217;s fun being in a group. There&#8217;s a sort of pack mentality, a strength in numbers. <\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;But in the same breath, it\u2019s also important to have your own identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\nSahznay became a songwriter-for-hire after her debut solo album flopped.<\/p>\n<p>\nHowever, the singer ultimately became frustrated by the creative restrictions she faced.<\/p>\n<p>\nSahznay &#8211; who released &#8216;Open&#8217;, her debut album, back in 2004 &#8211; said: &#8220;When you&#8217;re writing for other artists, there are all these other considerations that come before the importance the song.<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;Will it be good on TikTok? Who\u2019s going to sing it? Where will it get played?
