Edwin Hodge<\/strong> is just like Us<\/em> and was worried that Special Agent Ray Cannon wouldn\u2019t make it down the aisle on the season 5 finale of FBI: Most Wanted<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first question was like, \u2018What\u2019s happening at the wedding?\u2019 I need to know. I don\u2019t want any surprises,\u201d Hodge, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> of the Tuesday, May 21, season finale. \u201c\u2018Do I get shot? Is it a big thing?\u2019 And they\u2019re like, \u2018No, no, no, no. The wedding is the wedding. And then the case is going to conflict with it.\u2019 I was like, \u2018All right, cool.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He confessed, \u201cI definitely had that \u2014 I\u2019m going to call it a fear that something creative was going to go on at the wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIf only fantasy were reality! Fictional TV couples have the ability to make viewers believe in love. So when it comes to their weddings, fans have high expectations for the big day. During Tuesday\u2019s finale, Ray married Cora Love (Caroline Harris<\/strong>) after proposing earlier this season, marking the first wedding in the FBI<\/em> universe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know about that honor until we shot the wedding day,\u201d Hodge recalled. \u201cPeople love a love story, and our love story is wrapped up in a bunch of crying, but people love to see it. And being the first wedding, being the first to get married, it is a humbling and an honoring thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite a few hiccups with his job, the couple made it down the aisle in the finale. Ray and Cora\u2019s big day even included cameos from the cast and crew that some viewers might\u2019ve missed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was kind of like an all-hands-on-deck situation,\u201d Hodge revealed. \u201cOur wardrobe department was in cahoots with finding music for the wedding. We even have some of our crew participate in the wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that the \u201cimportance\u201d for him stemmed from everything feeling \u201creal\u201d and \u201cnatural,\u201d which included honoring his character\u2019s New Orleans roots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnytime we can get on TV and see our culture being honored [or] being a part of honoring our culture is a great thing,\u201d Hodge told Us<\/em>, gushing over the characters\u2019 second line that is \u201cmandatory pretty much\u201d in any wedding that happens in the Big Easy.<\/p>\n

He explained that showing another culture \u201cbenefits everyone being able to see people in different lights and accept people for who they are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hodge continued: \u201cThis wedding is just another way of just showing the world that, \u2018Hey, this is part of our culture. This is what we do. We\u2019d love to play instruments and walk through the street and dance. We will go eat our beignets and we going to call it a day.\u2019 So yeah, I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hodge also praised his costar Harris, revealing that she \u201cshows up 100 percent every day\u201d when they share a scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re a raw couple. I came into a situation where she had a kid. For a lot of men, that\u2019s a decision that weighs on \u2019em,\u201d he recalled. \u201cRay was gung ho. He was like, \u2018Let\u2019s make this happen.\u2019 He knew what he wanted in his life, and that was Cora and Caleb, and he took those steps.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs networks make decisions about their programming, Us Weekly will continue to track what has been renewed and which TV shows have been canceled. Slow Horses was the first show to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple TV+ picked up the series for a fifth season, which will be based on Mick [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When it comes to season 6, Hodge is hopeful that Ray\u2019s relationship with Cora and his now stepson, Caleb (Ja\u2019Siah Young<\/strong>), will be at the forefront.<\/p>\n
