Nikki Glaser is convinced a \u2018wild guy who\u2019s a comedian\u2019 and disgruntled sports fans were behind Kim Kardashian being booed at Tom Brady\u2019s roast<\/p>\n
The comic, 39, was with Kim, 43, as part of the panel of roasters at the live Netflix special that aired on 5 May from the Kia Forum in California, which saw the reality TV veteran met with a barrage of heckles as she took to the stage to mock ex-NFL player Tom.<\/p>\n
Nikki has now told the \u2018Not Skinny But Not Fat\u2019 podcast she \u201cran into someone\u201d at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood, California, after the event, and they were with some \u201cwild guy who\u2019s a comedian\u201d with a \u201creputation for just, like, starting s***\u201d.<\/p>\n
She said about how she believed he was behind targeting Kim: \u201cApparently, he started the boo as just, like, a joke. He just had too many drinks or something.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nikki added the audience of the roast was mostly made up of \u201csports fans\u201d who were probably not fans of Kim and her Kardashian clan, so they could also have been booing her.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt just kinda caught wind… (there were) sports fans wanting to have some sort of release to boo\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nNikki went on: \u201cThe guy started it started it as a joke, and it caught on too much.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe comic also defended the Kardashians by saying: \u201cI don\u2019t want to hear that anymore that they\u2019re not talented. They clearly are! <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThey\u2019ve achieved something consistently for 20 years now. They\u2019re talented! It just doesn\u2019t look like the talent you define.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNetflix later edited out the torrent of boos against Kim after Tom\u2019s roast was initially shown live on the streamer.<\/p>\n
\nNikki shared her theory about the heckling after she slammed Ben Affleck for apparently not preparing for his stint on Tom\u2019s roast.<\/p>\n
\nShe said on the \u2018KFC Radio\u2019 podcast about the 51-year-old\u2019s gags: \u201cI haven\u2019t watched it (back) because I don\u2019t like to watch people bomb.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c(Ben is) someone who\u2019s famous enough that he thinks that this is probably beneath (him) to do this, so (he was like), \u2018I\u2019m just gonna do a favour. It\u2019s not going to be that big of a deal.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNikki added she felt Ben had been \u201cphoning it in\u201d at the comedy special, and said he probably had to pitch joke ideas to a group of writers and went with the angle of being \u201cmad\u201d about trolls.<\/p>\n
\nBen was a surprise guest at 46-year-old Tom\u2019s roast and his so-called jokes included: \u201cYou guys out there talking s*** behind your f****** keyboard, that doesn\u2019t make you a fan, that makes you a b****.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNikki called his focus on trolling \u201cself-centred\u201d and said: \u201cThere were jokes that could have been used to fill up an entire set that would have been amazing, but either they couldn\u2019t get him on the phone enough to work out something, he didn\u2019t practice enough or he just picked a bad premise and then he had to stick to it the whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBen\u2019s set was branded one of the worst of the roast by fans, while Nikki was praised for her jibes about Tom\u2019s 2022 divorce from Gisele B\u00fcndchen, 43, and how he lost millions of dollars in a cryptocurrency blunder.<\/p>\n
\nTom \u2013 who has children Benjamin, 14, and 11-year-old girl Vivian with his ex-wife, as well as son Jack, 16, with his 53-year-old former partner Bridget Moynahan\u2013 has admitted he regrets agreeing to his Netflix roast as his children were \u201caffected\u201d by the gags.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
