Bridgerton<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Francesca and John are everyone\u2019s favorite new couple \u2014 but that doesn\u2019t mean they will have any steamy sex scenes.<\/p>\n

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/em>, Victor Alli<\/strong> weighed in on the chances of his character, John, and Francesca consummating their relationship on screen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re so different from the other couples. I don\u2019t know. Maybe. Who knows?\u201d Alli joked with Us. \u201cI just like to be in line with their relationship and dynamic. [So] having those sort of steamy hot scenes will probably be intense for them. Like, so intense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alli questioned whether seeing Francesca and John have sex would make sense, adding, \u201cThey only just recently started holding hands. We\u2019re trying to walk before we can run. Who knows? But that would be interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBridgerton fans enjoy many aspects of the show but there\u2019s just something about those sex scenes. While some viewers fell in love with the Netflix show\u2019s chaste courtship traditions, many couldn\u2019t stop talking about those steamy moments \u2014 including the cast. \u201cI love [Daphne\u2019s] coming-of-age story and her sexual awakening. \u2026 My first-ever scene was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Season 3 of the hit Netflix series introduced Us<\/em> to the perfect suitor for Francesca<\/a> \u2014 though readers of the Julia Quinn<\/strong> novels that inspired the series know that a twist is coming. Francesca and John are currently living out their love story though with the first part of the third season ending with them excited about their future<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alli was thrilled to bring Francesca and John\u2019s sweet connection to life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really, really fun. Hannah is so, so cool. She is incredible and [an] amazing actress. It was just a pleasure working with her. It was nice to collaborate and share ideas. We would go back and forth with what we thought would happen in the scene, what our characters would say and what we can bring,\u201d he recalled to Us<\/em>. \u201cAnd in between takes, we just speak a lot about the characters and the story and the journey. I learned so much from her, and it was just a complete joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Bridgerton is known for introducing fictional men who exude confidence, Alli found it refreshing to play someone more subtle<\/a>. Similar to Francesca, John has preferred a more subdued \u2014 but just as successful \u2014 form of courtship.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFinding love on the page and on screen! As soon as Netflix debuted Bridgerton in 2020, fans became invested in the stories still yet to be told. Based on Julia Quinn\u2018s novels of the same name, the series began with the love story of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Reg\u00e9-Jean Page). Dynevor previously [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhen I auditioned, I was quite nervous because it\u2019s like I\u2019ve got to live up to the standards of all these really hot men who have done some great flirting and pouting,\u201d Alli joked about following in Reg\u00e9-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey <\/strong>and Luke Newton<\/strong>\u2018s footsteps<\/a>. \u201cSo I was slightly relieved that I didn\u2019t have to do all of that. [Instead I got to] do something that was really interesting actually.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alli explained how there\u2019s so much more to John<\/a> than meets the eye.<\/p>\n

\u201c[You see it in the way] he approaches that whole marriage mart and how he approaches Francesca. They have this amazing rapport and this commonality when it comes to being awkward and really introverted. It just works.You don\u2019t really question it,\u201d he explained. \u201cBut who knows what the next stage of their story might bring. We might see a different side to John or Francesca. At this stage it was quite nice to play that slow burn but nervous energy. It was quite nice.\u201d<\/p>\n
