Country music star Jelly Roll<\/strong><\/a> is putting his health first.<\/p>\n

The musician confirmed that he\u2019s gearing up to run a half marathon in the near future during an interview with Fox News Digital<\/a> published on Monday, May 20.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m training as you can train, it\u2019s an 18-month process,\u201d Jelly, 39, shared. \u201cI want to do another couple 5Ks first, so the goal is to [run a] half marathon next fall.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer kicked off his weight-loss journey after accepting comedians Bert Kreischer<\/strong> and Tom Segura<\/strong>\u2018s 5K By May challenge. On May 7, Jelly completed his first race, the 2 Bears 5K<\/a>, at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

The experience was \u201cincredible\u201d he told Fox News. \u201cI also had the luxury of doing it with friends and family,\u201d noting that he walked it with Kreischer, 51, and his wife, Bunnie XO.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy whole crew came out to support me,\u201d Jelly added. \u201cIt was, like, really, really cool, man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to the race, Jelly shared the details of his weight loss journey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m probably down 70-something pounds,\u201d he told People in April. \u201cI\u2019ve been really kicking [but], man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jelly went on to share his exercise routine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I\u2019m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day,\u201d he said, noting that he\u2019s been \u201ceating healthy right now\u201d as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel really good,\u201d Jelly added. \u201cI was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds]. If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I\u2019m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jelly rose to fame following the success of his 2021 single \u201cSon of a Sinner\u201d and 2023 song \u201cNeed a Favor.\u201d Since becoming a country star, Jelly has been candid about his past, and how his music career changed the trajectory of his life.<\/p>\n
