Shannen Doherty<\/strong><\/a> offered some tips on how Charmed<\/em><\/a> fans can help speed up the process of getting an official reunion series with the original cast greenlit.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo the way that it works is that as actors, unless we wrote the show, created it and produced it, we have no rights to it,\u201d Doherty, 53, said on the Monday, May 20, episode of her \u201cLet\u2019s Be Clear\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cI believe CBS owns the show. The only person or company that can make a reunion happen is CBS.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Doherty and her costars don\u2019t have a say in greenlighting a new Charmed<\/em> project, she encouraged the series fans to not give up and take action into their own hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo if you guys really want one you have to bombard their Instagram, [CBS\u2019] Facebook, write mail. I don\u2019t even know how to do any of that but that\u2019s the only way,\u201d she said. \u201cYou know, do some petitions and send them in. That\u2019s pretty much the only way that it would happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe power of three will set us free \u2026 from everything but drama. Charmed, which premiered on The WB in 1998, made headlines from the start as Aaron Spelling hired Shannen Doherty to play one of the three Halliwell sisters, four years after she was infamously let go from Spelling Television\u2019s Beverly Hills, 90210. \u201c[Aaron] [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, Doherty joked that a reunion would have to \u201chappen pretty quickly unless you want to see all of us as grandmas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doherty starred on Charmed for three seasons alongside Holly Marie Combs<\/strong> and Alyssa Milano<\/strong> as the Halliwell sisters. Combs, 50, and Milano, 51, continued on the show until it wrapped after eight seasons alongside Rose McGowan<\/strong> who was brought in for season four as long lost sister Paige, Doherty\u2019s replacement.<\/p>\n

While the original Charmed<\/em> aired from 1998 to 2006, a reboot series for the CW was ordered in 2018 featuring a new cast of characters. Many of the stars and writers of the original show slammed the reboot<\/a> for not taking the original cast into consideration.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil you ask us to rewrite it like [showrunner] Brad Kern<\/strong> did weekly, don\u2019t even think of capitalizing on our hard work,\u201d Combs tweeted in 2018. \u201cCharmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title\/stamp. So bye.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to feuding with the new Charmed<\/em>, tension brewed amongst the series\u2019 original stars. During a December 2023 episode of Doherty\u2019s podcast, Combs claimed that Milano had gotten Doherty fired<\/a> from the series. Milano, for her part, has vehemently denied the allegations<\/a>. The back and forth between the women reignited a feud<\/a> that seemingly began behind the scenes of Charmed.<\/p>\n
