Nikki Glaser has slammed Ben Affleck for apparently not preparing for his stint on Tom Brady\u2019s roast<\/p>\n
The comic, 39, and the \u2018Armageddon\u2019 actor, 51, were among the panel of roasters at the live Netflix special aired on 5 May from the Kia Forum in California.<\/p>\n
Nikki told the \u2018KFC Radio\u2019 podcast about Ben\u2019s gags: \u201cI haven\u2019t watched it (back) because I don\u2019t like to watch people bomb<\/p>\n
\u201c(Ben is) someone who\u2019s famous enough that he thinks that this is probably beneath (him) to do this, so (he was like), \u2018I\u2019m just gonna do a favour. It\u2019s not going to be that big of a deal.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Nikki added she felt Ben had been \u201cphoning it in\u201d at the comedy special, and said he probably had to pitch joke ideas to a group of writers and went with the angle of being \u201cmad\u201d about trolls.<\/p>\n
\nBen was a surprise guest at 46-year-old retired NFL player Tom\u2019s roast and his jokes included: \u201cYou guys out there talking s*** behind your f****** keyboard, that doesn\u2019t make you a fan, that makes you a b****.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNikki called his focus \u201cself-centred\u201d and said: \u201cThere were jokes that could have been used to fill up an entire set that would have been amazing, but either they couldn\u2019t get him on the phone enough to work out something, he didn\u2019t practice enough or he just picked a bad premise and then he had to stick to it the whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBen\u2019s set was branded one of the worst of the roast by fans, while Nikki was praised for her jibes about Tom\u2019s 2022 divorce from Gisele B\u00fcndchen, 43, and how he lost millions of dollars in a cryptocurrency blunder.<\/p>\n
\nTom \u2013 who has children Benjamin, 14, and 11-year-old girl Vivian with his ex \u2013 has admitted he regrets agreeing to his Netflix roast as his children were \u201caffected\u201d by the gags.<\/p>\n
\nHe told \u2018The Pivot\u2019 podcast: \u201cI loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn\u2019t like the way that affected my kids.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe seven-time Super Bowl champion \u2013 who also has son Jack, 16, with his 53-year-old actress ex Bridget Moynahan \u2013 added he didn\u2019t think his decision to be a part of \u2018The Roast of Tom Brady\u2019 through properly.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cIt\u2019s the hardest part about like, the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realise, \u2018I wouldn\u2019t do that again,\u2019 because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo it makes you in some ways a better parent going through it because sometimes you\u2019re naive you don\u2019t know or you get a little like, \u2018Oh s***!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
