Marciano Brunette<\/strong> offered an update on his relationship with Hannah Fouch<\/strong> \u2014 and things aren\u2019t looking good.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe show actually helped our relationship a lot because we were not talking going into the show at all,\u201d Marciano, 31, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cEven when Lisa [Vanderpump]<\/strong> had asked about bringing another girl on and I had recommended [Hannah], I still didn\u2019t know if that was a good idea or a bad idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marciano recalled feeling conflicted about working with Hannah, 28, on Vanderpump Villa<\/em>, adding, \u201cEven days before us even getting to France and I had known she was going. I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know what\u2019s gonna happen.’\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the reality star, things started to fall apart once cameras stopped<\/a> rolling.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the show had settled, I mean, there was a honeymoon phase of us being in a great spot together. Then once that dust settled [there was] ups and downs,\u201d he recalled. \u201cI mean we have a good relationship for the most part. Like I said, we still do work together, so we\u2019re pretty communicative together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hulu viewers got a similar vague response on the Monday, May 20, reunion special for Vanderpump Villa<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe went back to reality and we weren\u2019t in the honeymoon stage anymore but we are a work in progress,\u201d Hannah said before getting emotional. \u201cI do love him and a lot of people don\u2019t understand that.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Lisa asked Hannah whether she had broken up with Marciano<\/a>, she confirmed that she did. Marciano, for his part, clarified that he didn\u2019t cheat on Hannah and that had nothing to do with why they weren\u2019t currently together.<\/p>\n

\u201cComing back to reality was a very difficult thing for us because when we got back, it didn\u2019t work as best as we thought it would,\u201d he noted before shutting down cheating claims<\/a> from his Vanderpump Villa<\/em> costars.<\/p>\n

After the finale premiered on Monday, May 20, Hulu released an extra episode that showed the cast reuniting to address the drama that played out over the first season. Lisa Vanderpump, Hannah Fouch, Marciano Brunette, Telly Hall, Grace Cottrell, Emily [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite confirming their breakup, Marciano and Hannah put on a united front at the reunion. They sat next to each other and repeatedly defended each other while facing off against their former coworkers.<\/p>\n

Before Marciano weighed in on past drama at the reunion, his tumultuous relationship with Hannah became a major topic of conversation because of how much fans compared them to Jax Taylor<\/strong> and Stassi Schroeder<\/strong><\/a> from the original seasons of Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a>. (Jax and Stassi dated on and off in earlier episodes of Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> before parting ways.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand the resemblance but we\u2019re nothing like them,\u201d Marciano explained to Us<\/em>. \u201cTo be honest with you, I\u2019ve said this before but I\u2019m completely different than Jax. I\u2019m not gonna say anything bad about him. I don\u2019t know Stassi, unfortunately, but I\u2019ve met Jax.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marciano also discussed whether he thought his ups and downs with Hannah<\/a> were misconstrued on screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not like our relationship can be portrayed in so many different ways. You can see a lot in our relationship even on the show. But outside of the show, I think you can see worse, but you can also see better too,\u201d he noted. \u201cThat\u2019s what the show doesn\u2019t really get a whole glimpse of. \u2026 We\u2019ve had worse times and they\u2019ve been worse, but you don\u2019t see it. Then there\u2019s times where you see a lot of good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Marciano fighting to reconcile with Hannah during season 1, most of their costars weren\u2019t here for it. Everyone elaborated on their individual issues with Marciano and Hannah<\/a> during the Vanderpump Villa<\/em> reunion, which was released on Monday alongside the finale.<\/p>\n
