While the premise of Netflix\u2019s\u00a0Love Is Blind<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>is to help singles find their perfect match<\/a>, the experiment hasn\u2019t come without drama.<\/p>\n During season 2 of the dating show<\/a>, which premiered in February 2022, multiple love triangles blossomed<\/a>. In one corner, Shayne Jansen<\/strong><\/a> connected with both Natalie Lee<\/strong><\/a> and Shaina Hurley<\/strong><\/a>, and in another, Jarrette Jones<\/strong> was smitten by Iyanna McNeely<\/strong> and Mallory Zapata<\/strong>. In both instances, the men were subsequently torn while trying to decide which woman to propose to.<\/p>\n \u201cEarlier this week, I was\u00a0going back and forth between Mallory and Iyanna, but over the past couple days, I\u2019ve gained clarity,\u201d the healthcare consultant said during a confessional interview<\/a> in the third episode. \u201cI can definitely see myself proposing and having a life with Iyanna, but I\u00a0want to propose to Mallory\u00a0and it\u2019s gonna feel crazy, you know. I\u2019m gonna feel a whirlwind of emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n After Mallory turned Jarrette down, he eventually proposed to Iyanna<\/a> while Mallory explored her connection with Salvador \u201cSal\u201d Perez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI was a roller-coaster of emotions [at the wedding]. I was just feeling everything, and I really was trying to wrap my head around everything that we had been through together,\u201d Sal exclusively told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/i>\u00a0ahead of the season 2 finale<\/a>, recalling his decision to call off his engagement to Mallory. \u201cI was really just kind of summarizing it in my head and I knew that, at that moment of my wedding, I just wanted to make that choice with her. I wanted to see how I felt in that moment with her. It was a crazy day.\u201d<\/p>\n Shaina, for her part, accepted a proposal from Kyle Abrams<\/strong><\/a> despite her strong feelings for Shayne. The hairstylist even informed Shayne \u2014 who was set to pop the question to Natalie<\/a> \u2014 of her interest while Kyle\u2019s mother\u2019s ring sat on her finger.<\/p>\n \u201cIt took me a while to open up in the pods. It took me longer than I thought,\u201d Shaina told\u00a0Us\u00a0<\/i>of her\u00a0Love Is Blind\u00a0<\/i>experience<\/a>. \u201cI think everything happens for a reason. It was organic [with Shayne], I guess, you could say. There\u2019s some regrets. I just wish I was a little bit more forthright from the beginning [and] kind of prepared myself more, but can you prepare yourself? Besides that, no, it was an amazing experience.\u201d<\/p>\n Shaina eventually broke up with Kyle during the group\u2019s trip to Mexico, citing different religious beliefs<\/a> as the major issue. However, she later admitted that she was still interested in Shayne, allegedly telling Natalie she had a \u201cfriend\u201d to introduce her to in case she and Shayne split<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI have nothing to lose here. I have nothing but \u2014 I care for you,\u201d Shaina told Shayne in the sixth episode. \u201cYou were, like, my number one. \u2026 I feel like I\u2019m being portrayed as a villain in your guys\u2019 relationship, your guys\u2019 f\u2014king fake-ass relationship. It is such a joke.\u201d<\/p>\n While season 2 of the reality show<\/a> packed a dramatic punch, its precursor, which dropped on the streaming platform in February 2020, saw its fair share of love triangles and heated breakups<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI do not,\u201d Damian Powers<\/strong><\/a> explained to ex-fianc\u00e9e Giannina Gibelli<\/strong><\/a> on their wedding day in the first season finale. \u201cI stayed consistent all the way through this and you have not.\u201d<\/p>\n The Atlanta-based business owner was shocked to hear Damian\u2019s decision<\/a>, and she ran out of the venue, notably falling in the mud and ripping her dress.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was so much that happened,\u201d Giannina told\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>in March 2020. \u201cAt the end of the day, the relationship is between you and this person. Who better to understand that than you two? \u2026 I love Damian, I know his heart, I know everything about him. I really wanted us to heal together because we had gone through such a big, scary thing and it just didn\u2019t feel right not being together in that moment whether we were going to end it together or not. It was something I wanted to go through with him and just see, \u2018Are we OK?
