Stephen Huszar<\/strong><\/a> had his hands full in the furry friend department while working on Hallmark\u2019s Everything Puppies<\/em>, but he\u2019s not complaining.<\/p>\n

\u201cActing with furries is always a treat. I\u2019ve got three myself,\u201d Huszar, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/em>on Friday, May 17, while promoting the new Hallmark Channel film<\/a>. \u201cI got a couple cats and a dog, so it\u2019s always nice to be able to share the screen with these guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huszar, who plays pet store general manager Alex in the movie, revealed that the golden retrievers he acted alongside were \u201cso present\u201d and \u201clots of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although shooting scenes with animals can be tough, the actor told Us<\/em><\/a> that this particular group of dogs were \u201cwell trained.\u201d<\/p>\n

They\u2019re so present. They\u2019re lots of fun, you know? Anytime I can be in a movie with some animals, I am in. So that was, that was basically it.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dog wasn\u2019t a puppy. He was so, so calm. I was washing him, went for a run with him and stuff, and he was very, very patient,\u201d Huszar recalled, referring to his character\u2019s pooch named Mosey. \u201cThey were, they were great on set.\u201d<\/p>\n

He joked, \u201cThey were much more trained than I was when I started acting. So good on them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huszar noted that the puppies, which were featured in several scenes, were even more adorable to see daily.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re cute little things,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know how you have the little baby smell. It\u2019s the same sort of thing when you\u2019re dealing with these really young dogs. They\u2019re so sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHallmark Media kicked off 2024 with four fresh Hallmark Channel features \u2014 and there\u2019s plenty more where that came from. January\u2019s lineup began with Love on the Right Course, starring Ashley Newbrough. \u201cLearned how to say, \u2018cheers\u2019 in Hungarian but definitely didn\u2019t learn how to spell it \ud83c\udded\ud83c\uddfa\u2763\ufe0f,\u201d Newbrough captioned a series of Instagram snaps [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Huszar\u2019s costars weren\u2019t all furry in nature. The Hallmark star<\/a> also worked closely with Pascal Lamothe-Kipnes,<\/strong> who plays dog treat creator Scarlett. In the movie, Scarlett invents a tasty and healthy treat for pups and with the help of Alex, she tries to get them into a massive pet store chain.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s great, super professional, [a] really great actress,\u201d Huszar gushed to Us<\/em> about his scene partner.<\/p>\n

He shared that the actors met for the first time shooting Everything Puppies<\/em> and only did rehearsals with their respective dogs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did a little bit of training for rock climbing \u2019cause that was a bit of a concern as well, to make sure we\u2019re comfortable. Just a few days,\u201d Huszar added of their shooting schedule. \u201cIt seemed to roll really well. Sometimes it just works and absolutely this is one of them.\u201d<\/p>\n
