If anything, a singer\u2019s death <em>boosts <\/em>album sales. So, even if music execs had the power to do all of that, it would be strange for them to try.<\/p>\n<p>The current Avril has the same face as she did in 2003, except for the (very graceful) passage of about two decades of time. Successful human cloning does not exist. On one end, everyone\u2019s like, \u2018You look the exact same. You haven\u2019t aged a day.\u2019 But then other people are like, \u2018There\u2019s a conspiracy theory that I\u2019m not me.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Avril acknowledged that the bizarre lies \u201ccould be worse.\u201d In fact, compared to many other famous folks, she \u201cgot a good one.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Real Avril Lavigne\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SLpzH5Ah3oE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t feel like it\u2019s negative,\u201d Avril expressed. \u201cIt\u2019s nothing creepy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For example, QAnon \u2014 a dangerous conspiracy theory alleging government puppeteers serving the literal actual devil and harvesting Illuminati drugs from children \u2014 has targeted celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and Tom Hanks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2019\/07\/avril-lavigne-accused-of-betraying-christ-promoting-devil-worshi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Almost no one<\/a> is accusing Avril Lavigne of worshiping any devils. They\u2019re just saying that she looks conspicuously young, or slightly different than she did in 2003. Some of them are literally just jokes \u2014 such as people jesting about the British royal family. (Not to be confused with people who think that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/05\/king-charles-first-official-portrait-receives-harsh-criticism-it-looks-like-hes-in-hell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">King Charles\u2019 portrait has a \u201chidden Baphomet\u201d<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>In the case of the \u201cswapped celebrity\u201d conspiracies, the idea is rooted in a couple of major things: ignorance and creativity.
