Less than one year after Britt Stewart<\/strong><\/a> and Daniel Durant<\/strong><\/a> competed together on\u00a0Dancing With the Stars<\/i><\/a>, they sparked a real-life romance.<\/p>\n \u201cMy Valentine.\u00a0\u2665\ufe0f<\/span>\u00a0Happy Valentine\u2019s Day,\u201d the Coda <\/i>star wrote via Instagram in February 2023 when they debuted their relationship<\/a>, sharing a selfie with the DWTS <\/i>pro<\/a> on a boardwalk.<\/p>\n Durant and the\u00a0High School Musical<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>actress initially met the previous September when they were paired together<\/a> on season 31 of\u00a0DWTS.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cShe knows how to sign, she\u2019s learning how to sign,\u201d the\u00a0Switched at Birth\u00a0<\/i>alum, who is deaf<\/a>,\u00a0told\u00a0Us Weekly\u00a0<\/i>and other reporters at the time of their training process. \u201cBefore, my interpreter [Gabe Gomez<\/strong>] \u2026 he\u2019d be there interpreting for us at practice, and now he fades away during practice and it\u2019s nice. She understands me.\u201d<\/p>\n Durant continued to gush over his partner.\u00a0\u201cShe\u2019s such a brilliant woman and\u00a0she shows me her skills and it\u2019s amazing,\u201d he raved at the time. \u201cAnd she looked at me and I feel like I knew she could teach me.\u201d<\/p>\n Stewart, for her part, was equally excited to pair up\u00a0with the\u00a0You<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>alum. \u201cI love when I am able to have story and passion and heart, and Daniel is all of that and more,\u201d she told\u00a0Us\u00a0<\/i>at the time.<\/p>\n Durant and the Share the Movement president made it\u00a0to the season 31 semifinals<\/a>, which aired on Disney+ in November 2022. Despite receiving a 36 and a 34 on their Viennese waltz and samba routines, respectively, the dancing duo were ultimately sent home just shy of the finale<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cDaniel, none of these words can really fully express how grateful I am for the past couple months.
