Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a> had a small cameo in Welcome to Wrexham<\/em><\/a> when celebrating Rob McElhenney<\/strong>\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

Since becoming the cochairs of the Wrexham football club in 2020, McElhenney, 47, and Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> have celebrated each other\u2019s birthdays in the form of a long-standing prank war.<\/a><\/p>\n

The new episode of Welcome to Wrexham<\/em>, which premiered on Thursday, May 16, started with Reynolds, 47, singing the \u201cHappy Birthday, Rob McElhenney\u201d <\/a>song. While singing the tune \u2014 primarily about how to pronounce McElhenney\u2019s last name \u2014 some of the actor\u2019s famous friends make an appearance. Because the It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em><\/a> star is such a Philadelphia Eagles football fan, it\u2019s no surprise that Kelce, 36, had a brief appearance. (Kelce tweeted earlier this month that he\u2019s a \u201cbig Wales guy.\u201d<\/a>)<\/p>\n

The former NFL star was standing in what appeared to be the Eagles\u2019 facility and sang the line: \u201cLike a tackle when we take \u2018em to the ground.\u201d While the music video for McElhenney\u2019s birthday was originally released in April 2023, the Welcome to Wrexham<\/em> episode offered more insight on how it was created.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Philadelphia Eagles have some big names on their side every season. Stars like Bradley Cooper, Kevin Hart, Miles Teller, Joe Biden and more were in attendance to see the Eagles defeat the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LII, the team\u2019s first time winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy. At one point, Hart even attempted [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s revealed that Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winners Benj Pasek<\/strong> and Justin Paul<\/strong> \u2014 yes, the ones who wrote the music and lyrics to Dear Evan Hansen<\/em><\/a> \u2014 were behind the track.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year, Ryan conjured up some Hollywood magic by mobilizing a musical army,\u201d a voice over could be heard saying. Pasek and Paul chimed in, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s called \u2018It\u2019s McElhenney.\u2019 Hopefully that\u2019s actually how you pronounce it. We wrote the whole song.\u201d<\/p>\n

At one point, Reynolds could be heard joking: \u201cIs Rob good enough for this?\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, McElhenney was preparing Reynolds\u2019 gift, a memorial park in Wrexham. (Yes, Chris Pratt<\/strong> also made a brief appearance to help make that particular announcement.)<\/p>\n

On the soccer side of things, Wrexham is on a hot winning streak \u2014 and then goalie Arthur Okonkwo<\/strong> got injured.<\/p>\n

Initially, the goalkeeper was spitting blood and continued to play the game, despite grabbing his jaw.<\/p>\n
