Joy Behar<\/strong><\/a> had a hot take on Kelly Clarkson<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s weight loss journey after the singer confessed to using a medication<\/a> to slim down.<\/p>\n

Behar, 81, and her fellow panelists \u2014 Whoopi Goldberg<\/strong>, Sara Haines<\/strong>, Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/strong> and Sunny Hostin<\/strong> \u2014 discussed Clarkson\u2019s revelation on the Wednesday, May 15, episode of The View<\/em><\/a>. Clarkson, 42, admitted in a conversation with Goldberg, 68, days prior that while she hasn\u2019t been taking Ozempic, she\u2019s turned to \u201csomething else\u201d to help her body \u201cbreak down sugar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKelly is getting backlash over this from people who say she previously claimed she\u2019s losing weight by walking,\u201d Goldberg noted on The View.<\/em> \u201cShe has been walking, but this has helped.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goldberg pointed out that Clarkson has taken heat from all sides<\/a> through the years when it comes to her body, adding, \u201cThey kick her behind when she\u2019s bigger, they kick her behind when she\u2019s lost the weight, and now they\u2019re kicking her behind because she said it out loud.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Haines, 46, argued that \u201cwalking or fasting\u201d likely isn\u2019t the only thing helping many stars shed pounds, Behar shared her own two cents.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiets do not work. I\u2019ve been on diets up and down, up and down. You lose it, then you gain it back,\u201d Behar claimed. \u201cNobody wants to be fat except a sumo wrestler. It\u2019s uncomfortable, your clothes don\u2019t fit, everybody wants to lose weight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of dissecting which weight loss methods are most effective, Hostin, 55, was more critical of the social pressures responsible for causing poor body image.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you feel good about yourself, mentally you\u2019re going to also feel better. There\u2019s an epidemic of depression in this country, an epidemic of women shaming women, men shaming men, men shaming women. It all has to stop. People don\u2019t say to a guy, \u2018Hey, are you on Viagra?’\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t think the personal health choices you make for yourself should be subject to discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the conversation came to an end, Goldberg declared, \u201cLet people do what they need to do to get where they need to get to, and stop being mad that they\u2019re not doing it your way.\u201d Griffin, 34, quipped, \u201cAnd leave Kelly Clarkson alone!\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson and Goldberg got candid about their respective weight loss journeys during the Monday, May 13, episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.<\/em> When Clarkson gushed that her guest looks like she gets younger by the day, Goldberg chalked it up to her slimmer figure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve lost [the weight of] almost two people<\/a>,\u201d Goldberg revealed, later noting that she\u2019s \u201cdoing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it\u2019s been really good for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson, for her part, said she\u2019s been relying on \u201ca different one,\u201d denying that Ozempic is what\u2019s helped her transform. (Ozempic is intended for patients with type 2 diabetes, and doctors have not recommended it be used for casual weight loss.)<\/p>\n
