Angie Harmon<\/strong><\/a> is taking legal action after claiming that her dog was shot and killed by a delivery driver.<\/p>\n Back in April, the 51-year-old Rizzoli & Isles<\/em> actress claimed that an Instacart delivery driver shot and killer her beloved dog Oliver<\/strong><\/a> at her home in North Carolina.<\/p>\n Now more than a month later, Angie <\/strong>has filed a lawsuit against the grocery delivery service and the driver, whom the suit names as Christopher Anthoney Reid<\/strong>, for alleged trespassing, conversion, negligence, negligent supervision\/hiring, invasion of privacy and negligent misrepresentation.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>In court documents obtained by People<\/a><\/em>, Angie<\/strong>\u2018s lawyers claimed that she scheduled a grocery delivery on March 30 and alleges that she was interacting with a delivery driver named \u201cMerle,\u201d whose profile picture depicted an older woman, while answering questions about her order.<\/p>\n However, Angie<\/strong>\u2018s lawyers claimed that Reid<\/strong> was the one that arrived at her property to deliver her order.<\/p>\n The suit alleges that Reid<\/strong> \u201cwas impersonating Merle on the Instacart app\u201d and consequently, Angie<\/strong> had \u201cno idea she had been communicating\u201d with Reid<\/strong>, who is described as \u201ca tall and intimidating younger man.\u201d <\/p>\n Once Reid<\/strong> arrived on her property, Angie<\/strong> allegedly \u201cheard what sounded like a gun shot\u201d with her children in the backyard. \u201cTerrified for her children\u2019s safety, Ms. Harmon immediately ran downstairs to determine to source of what she thought was a gun shot,\u201d the suit claimed.<\/p>\n When she arrived outside, Angie<\/strong> allegedly noticed Reid<\/strong> \u201cwas placing a gun in the front of his pants, potentially in his pant pocket. Looking to the side, she saw that her beloved dog, Oliver, was shot. Although shot, Oliver was still alive.\u201d She then rushed Oliver<\/strong> to the veterinarian\u2019s office where he died.<\/p>\n The docs also allege that Reid<\/strong> was \u201cnot inured\u201d or \u201cseriously threatened\u201d by Angie<\/strong>\u2018s dog and had \u201cample opportunity\u201d to leave the property unharmed without shooting the dog. Shortly after the incident, Reid<\/strong> alleged that he was bit by Angie<\/strong>\u2018s dog<\/a>.<\/p>\n Angie<\/strong> is seeking more than $25,000 in damages, with the exact amount to be determined at trial.<\/p>\n
