The series will feature Elle Woods in her high school years and let viewers find out how the experience shaped her into becoming the woman seen 2001\u2019s Legally Blonde<\/em>. The film started with Elle getting dumped by her college sweetheart just before their graduation. She then followed him to Harvard Law School in an attempt to win him back, only to discover she was a star legal eagle in her own right.<\/p>\n

The Oscar winner made an Instagram video<\/a> about Elle, showing her getting dressed in the character\u2019s iconic hot pink suit with a \u201ctop secret\u201d pink \u201cscented\u201d script, as a call-out to the original movie. She was then seen heading to Prime Video\u2019s inaugural upfront presentation, where she did the \u201cbend and snap\u201d onstage.<\/p>\n

Under Reese\u2019s Instagram post, Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> cohost Julianne Hough<\/strong> commented \u201cOh.My.God,\u201d with a series of pink heart emojis. Actress Sophia Bush<\/strong> used the same emojis and excitedly wrote, \u201cAhhhhhh!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Several fans expressed their hope that Reese\u2019s lookalike daughter, Ava Phillipe<\/strong>, would be playing Elle, with one writing, \u201cPlease tell us that your daughter is taking over the role.\u201d One woman cheered, \u201cSo looking forward to watching this with my teen!\u201d while another wrote, \u201cCan\u2019t wait!\u201d<\/p>\n

Why Is \u2018Elle\u2019 Appearing on Amazon Prime Video?<\/h2>\n

The streaming service purchased MGM Studios\u2019 library in 2021, which produced and released Legally Blonde.<\/em> Amazon Prime Video owns the titles to all MGM films from 1987 onward. The studio\u2019s pre-April 1986 projects are owned by Warner Bros.<\/p>\n
