Chris Hemsworth<\/strong><\/a> is tired of all the Marvel-bashing<\/a> \u2014 from both acclaimed directors and some of his own costars.<\/p>\n

Without naming any names, Hemsworth, 40, slammed actors who have previously starred in Marvel movies then gone on to complain about the films. \u201cIt\u2019s, like, \u2018They\u2019re films that are successful \u2014 put me in one. Oh, mine didn\u2019t work? I\u2019ll bash them,\u2019\u201d the Furiosa<\/em> star told The Times of London<\/em><\/a> in an interview published Sunday, May 12.<\/p>\n

Hemsworth went on to note that he got his own start<\/a> working on the Australian soap opera Home and Away<\/em>. \u201cAnd it used to bother me when actors would later talk about the show with guilt or shame,\u201d he added. \u201cHumility goes a long way.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Thor<\/em> actor also noted that he learned some valuable lessons in his soap opera days. \u201cOne of the older actors on Home and Away<\/em> said, \u2018We don\u2019t get paid to make the good lines sound good, but to make the bad ones work.\u2019 That stuck with me,\u201d he recalled. \u201cBut hey, it\u2019s all a lesson. And if I ever went back to [Thor] I\u2019d wonder how we could change it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThanks for a memorable summer, Barbenheimer. You deserved a better and more coherent movie, Captain Marvel and Ant-Man. That title alone was a win, Cocaine Bear. But the turn of the calendar means it\u2019s time to get excited about a fresh slate of movies. And despite all those stop-and-start productions and delayed releases due to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While Hemsworth didn\u2019t call out anyone specific, several stars who\u2019ve appeared in superhero movies \u2014 including those produced by Marvel \u2014 have publicly spoken out disliking the process. Christian Bale<\/strong>, who starred alongside Hemsworth in 2022\u2019s Thor: Love and Thunder<\/em>, complained about the \u201cmonotony\u201d of acting in front of a green screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got good people. You\u2019ve got other actors who are far more experienced at it than me. Can you differentiate one day from the next? No. Absolutely not,\u201d Bale, 50, told GQ<\/em><\/a> in October 2022. \u201cYou have no idea what to do. I couldn\u2019t even differentiate one stage from the next.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hemsworth also expressed his disappointment with the way film icons like Martin Scorsese<\/strong> and Francis Ford Coppola<\/strong> talk about superhero movies. Scorsese, 81, has said that Marvel movies are \u201cnot cinema,\u201d while Coppola, 85, has described them as \u201cdespicable.\u201d<\/p>\n
