The Bush frontman, 58, has three children with the 54-year-old No Doubt star \u2013 whom he was married to from 2002 until 2016 \u2013 and his romance with the 37-year-old singer has led to comparisons between the two women.<\/p>\n
After pictures were released by Page Six of Gavin and Xhoana’s vacation to Cabo San Lucas, broadcast veteran Hoda Kotb discussed why she found it bizarre that he would date a woman who looks just like his ex.<\/p>\n
Speaking to co-host Jenna Bush Hager on ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’ on Monday (13.05.24), she said: \u201cI thought, \u2018poor Blake [Shelton, Gwen’s husband]’ \u2013\u2013 that\u2019s what I thought for one second. They look exactly the same.”<\/p>\n
Jenna agreed that Xhoana and Gwen look \u201cidentical” and even wear the same red lipstick and “dress the same”.<\/p>\n
\nShe reacted: \u201cThat would be kinda weird \u2013\u2013 the same thing. That\u2019s really interesting.”<\/p>\n
\nWhilst Hoda finds it “super weird”, Jenna said Gwen should be flattered because she is clearly the \u201cone that got away.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nGavin has been dating Xhoana since last year and they made their romance Instagram-official this March.<\/p>\n
\nThe same month, Gavin confessed he wishes he had \u201cmore of a connection\u201d with Gwen.<\/p>\n
\nThe musician admitted he feels \u201chandcuffed\u201d because he didn\u2019t want to \u201csay anything negative\u201d about his former partner.<\/p>\n
\nHe told the \u2018Amy and TJ\u2019 podcast: \u201cI never thought I\u2019d ever get divorced. So there\u2019s a simple shame in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTalking about how both his parents had been married three times and he never wanted his children to have a similar experience, Gavin added: \u201cI feel bad for my kids, that\u2019s it. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI wish I could have found a way to not have that in their lives. It wasn\u2019t fun for me to come from a broken home.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt can be quite debilitating for kids\u2026 the overriding things is you don\u2019t want to let your kids down.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nGavin has sons Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10, with Gwen, who broke up amid rumours he cheated on her with their nanny.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cThe biggest thing would be when you see the kids that sometimes there\u2019s a loss.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019d be nice if there was more of a connection with the person who made them with me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nGwen has moved on with country singer Blake, 47, who she married in 2021 after they met on the set of \u2018The Voice\u2019 while the singer was in the midst of his divorce from 40-year-old fellow country performer Miranda Lambert. <\/p>\n
\nGavin added of bumping into Gwen and her spouse: \u201cI go to a lot of events where there\u2019s \u2018the other team\u2019, so to speak, and I just feel really proud of myself in my consistency as a father. I know in my heart that I\u2019m super consistent.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe also said their \u201cdebilitating\u201d divorce was a \u201cvery contentious, hugely emotional, flared-up situation.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nDad-of-four Gavin also has daughter Daisy Lowe, 35, from his previous relationship with 53-year-old fashion designer Pearl Lowe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
