Hoda Kotb<\/strong><\/a> is not holding back sharing her thoughts on Gavin Rossdale<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s new relationship with his girlfriend, Xhoana Xheneti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is so interesting. So he\u2019s making headlines. So why is he making headlines? Well you know, he was famously married to Gwen Stefani<\/strong><\/a> for 13 years,\u201d Kotb, 59, explained on the Monday, May 13, episode of Today With Hoda and Jenna<\/em><\/a>, before instructing viewers and her cohost, Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong>, to close their eyes.<\/p>\n

A picture of Rossdale, 58, and Xheneti embracing came onto the screen as Kotb exclaimed, \u201cWhat?\u201d In the snap, Xheneti bared a striking resemblance to Stefani, 54, with her platinum blonde hair, facial features and a bright red lip.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought, \u2018Poor Blake [Shelton]<\/strong>,\u2019\u201d Kotb said of her reaction after seeing the photo, referencing Stefani\u2019s husband, 47. \u201cThat\u2019s what I thought for a second. For one second. They look exactly the same. He has a type.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rossdale made things Instagram official with Xheneti in March 2024, despite connecting months before. \u201cHey finally got to have a birthday dinner with my girl @xhoana_x here\u2019s to a year filled with magic for you,\u201d Rossdale captioned a selfie of the two out [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bush Hager, 42, agreed that Xheneti and Stefani shared several similarities. \u201cBut for a type to look like an identical twin, and they dress the same, red lipstick, hair, all of it.\u201d Kotb added, \u201cThat would be kind of weird.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bush Hager noted that if an ex got into a relationship with someone who had a resemblance to their previous partner, she would think of the situation as \u201cflattering.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you have to think, \u2018I\u2019m the one that got away,\u2019\u201d Bush Hager said. \u201cWhich every girl thinks that and usually it\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rossdale made his relationship with Xheneti Instagram official in March 2024, years after Stefani filed for divorce<\/a> from him in 2015. Stefani, for her part, has since remarried Shelton.<\/p>\n

As for whether Kotb has a type of her own when it comes to men, she noted that she used to \u2014 but doesn\u2019t anymore.<\/p>\n
